Parks Director Sara Hensley has graciously provided the following answers to some of our questions below.

Parkland Dedication Fees Spreadsheet

Rental Car Tax Revenue
The Parks and Recreation Department does not receive a standard percentage of the Car Rental Tax. The Rental Car Tax Revenue is in place to retire debt from the Town Lake Park Venue Project Fund including the cost of constructing the Palmer Events Center, the parking garage and Butler Park. This includes the upcoming Butler Park Phase 3 and 4. In addition, the Palmer Events Center receives funding for O & M (Operating and Maintenance) costs. They fund 3 FTE's that are assigned to grounds maintenance responsibilities in Butler Park. The amount is about $120,000.
