Austin Neighborhoods Council--ANC News

At the September 2008 meeting, ANC passed a resolution asking for the city to provide neighborhood planning areas with maps that clearly show all parcels of city-owned land in the neighborhood planning area’s boundaries. Council Member Morrison’s office has pursued this request and forwarded the following link to city-owned properties:

Austin Live Music Task Force

The Austin Live Music Task Force is holding a Public Forum on Wednesday , October 29th, at 7:30 pm in City Hall Chambers. This is our opportunity for public comment on the Draft Recommendations to be put forth to Council before the end of 2008.

Charter Amendment for Restructuring City Council

At our January 2008 general meeting a majority of members present voted in favor of the following resolution:

ANC-East requests that the Austin Neighborhoods Council support the restructuring of the City Council, to include at-large and district representation with the majority of the Council made up of district representatives.
